الرحيق المختوم، هو أول كتاب أقرأه في سيرة النبي محمد -عليه الصلاة والسلام- وكُنت قد قررت من فترة بسيطة في التعمق في قراءة السيرة النبويّة، وهذا الكتاب كان من اقتراح قريبتي كـونه كتاب مختصر ومُلّم في ذات الوقت، بالنسبة لي هو كتاب مُختصر ولكنّه ليس ملّم تماماً؛ يركز على أشياء مُهمّة ويهمل أشياء مهمّة أخرى، يعرض كفاح الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم في الدعوة الإسلامية والغزوات، يعرض الجانب العسكري والتاريخي من حياة الرسول ويقدم الأدلة الواضحة على أن الرسول -صلى الله عليه وسلم- كان أكبر قائد عسكري في الدنيا، ويوضح المعاناة والكفاح في تبليغ الرسالة الإسلامية حتى أبلغها على أكمل وجه،ولكنّه لا يعرض الجانب الآخر من حياة الرسول والذي لا يقل أهميّة عن الجانب العسكري، لا يذكر البيت النبوي إلا باختصار شديد، حياة الرسول مع زوجاته وأبنائه وبناته ولا المواقف الهامة في هذا الصدد .
▪︎و صعوبة الكتاب في بعض المواضع فقد كان يسرد قصص كاملة بلغة قصحى صعبة كلغة الأحاديث لم أكن استوعبها كنت في احيان كثيرة ابحث عن معاني الكلمات لكن كنت اشعر ان النص كامل يحتاج للتفسير، وفي اماكن اخرى أشعر انه مُبسط ولطيف وخفيف.
Sehingga, kita tak hanya dapat memahami perjuangan dan ajaran beliau dengan lebih jelas, namun juga dapat memetik pelajaran dan suri tauladan dari segenap aspek kehidupan beliau.

غير أن الكتاب مع قيمته التي لا يُماري فيها إلا جاحد، حوى عددًا من الأحاديث الضعيفة والقصص الواهية ولم يُنبه المؤُلف على ضعفها وبُطلانها، وبنى على ذلك بعض الأحداث التي لم تصح، كقصة الغرانيق التي برر بها المشركون سجودهم عند سماع قراءة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم آيات سورة النجم، فالقصة باطلة كما حكم بذلك جمهور أهل العلم، وبنود وثيقة صلح يهود بني عوف مع المسلمين ولم يثبت منها شيء، وقصة حليمة السعدية وما حدث لها من كرمات بعدما أخذت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقد يستحسنها القارئ إلا أن القصة ضعيفة لا تثبُت والحق أحق أن يُتبع فالسيرة دين يلزم تحري أخبارها كالسُّنة والفقه، والله تعالى أعلم
